                                                                            Plain Pullao
Plain Pullao is a very common recipe in Asia. Rice for stir fry is needed to cook plain pullao recipe. Plain Pullao is cooked in the restaurant, houses and various ceremonies In Asia, Pulao is a rice-based dish which often also includes ingredients like vegetables and/ or meat. Generally Basmoti rice is very suitable for cooking pain pullao. Pullaos are often served with raitas and chutneys or pickles. There are many types of pullao. Such as; peas pullao, morog (hen) pullao, egg pullao,  zeera pullao, tava pullao etc. Once I decided to make up my mind that I will cook plain pullao. So I arranged rice for stir fry to cook this plain pullao recipe. I collected the essential ingredients to cook this recipe. The method of preparation is as follows;
Ingredients:
450 gm (1 lb) pollao rice
1/4 cup butter oil/ghee
1 teaspoon ground ginger
2 sticks 2.5 cm pieces cinnamon
2 cardamoms
Salt to taste
 Preparation:
1. Rinse the rice and drain water.
2. In a saucepan put all ingredients, add 4 cups of water bring to boil. stir, cover and cook over moderate heat for 10 minutes.
3. Turn heat to minimum and simmer for 10 minutes. Don't open the lid and don't stir.
4. Remove the heat.
Note: If you want to add pea in the recipe above, You have to add 3/4 cup shelled green peas before simmering. 
Yields 6 servings.
