Vegetable with Moong Lentil

Vegetable is a very common food not only in Bangladesh but also all over the world. Moong dal curry recipe is also favourite in the sub-continent. Everybody likes dal recipes. vegetables contains a lot of vitamins as well. Moong lentil is also very nutritious food. it is available all over Bangladesh. Vegetable with Moong Lentil is very nutritious and also healthy. Vegetables are grown in plenty all over the world. But Moong lentil is grown only in the Indian sub-continent. The cooking process of Vegetable with Moong Lentil is very easy. The cooking process of this recipe is as follows;
Ingredients:
  • 450 gram (1 lb ) bottle –gourd
  • ½  cup moong lentil
  • 1 cup shelled peas
  • ½ tea spoon ginger paste
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 2 pared green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 2 table spoons chopped coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
How to prepare:
  1. Peel gourd and cut into small cubes. In a frying pan roast the moong lentils lightly.
  2. Put the gourd, moong lentil, ginger turmeric, salt and 2 cups of water in a saucepan. Cover the cook. 
  3. when the gourd is cooked, add the peas. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Add the sugar, chillies, coriander leaves and bring to boil.
  4. In a saucepan, heat the oil. Add the mustard seeds and stir quickly. Pour the cooked vegetables into the saucepan and bring to a boil.
Serve hot with fluffy boiled rice or bread.  6 servings.
