Prawn Coconut Pullao
Recipe with Prawns is very delicious. Prawn coconut Pullao is a familiar recipe in the South Asia. Prawn is available and coconut is also available here. Pullao is one kind of rich food. Generally pullao is cooked in the aristocratic ceremony or functions. But now a days Prawn Coconut Pullao is prepared at home at times. Prawn Coconut Pullao is a uncommon and tasty recipe as well. Some ingredients are needed to prepare this recipe. The method of preparation is here;
Ingredients: 
1 cup shelled fresh prawn
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/2 - 1 teaspoon ground red chilli
1½  teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground garlic 
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup thick coconut milk
1/2 cup diced/cubed potatoes
1/2 cup shelled peas
4 green chillies
450 gm (1 lb) pullao rice. 
1/3 cup cooking oil
salt to taste

Preparation:
1. Rinse rice and strain water. Set aside.
2. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Fry the onion light brown. Add the potatoes and fry for 3 minutes. Add the prawns, salt and the coconut milk. Stir and boil for 4 minutes.
3. Remove the prawns with potatoes. 
4. In the remaining gravy with oil add the ground spices and rice. Stir and fry for 3 minutes. 
5. Add salt and 3½ cups of water. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 18 minutes. 
6. Add green chillies, prawns and potatoes. Cover and keep over very low heat for a few minutes.

Serve hot with salad. Yields 4-6 servings.
