Cauliflower Potato Curry

Most of the people of the world like recipes for cauliflower. On the contrary,
potato curry is also favorite for the people of the world. Cauliflower
Potato Curry is very tasty food. Cauliflower is a cool-seasoned vegetable. The
world “cauliflower” comes from a Latin word “caulis”. Cauliflower is one of several vegetables in the species Brassicaoleracea, in the family Brassicaceae.
Cauliflower has various types and colors. But white is the most common. Potato
and cauliflower are very common food. It has low fat but high in carbohydrate.
It is found all over the world. Most of the people of the world are fond of potato
curry cauliflower recipe. They are very nutritious. Cauliflower can be roasted,
boiled, fried, steamed or eaten raw. It is a delicious
recipe. The cooking process of Cauliflower Potato Curry is not
difficult. The method of preparation of the recipe is given below;
Ingredients:
- 400 gram (1 lb) potatoes
- 1 medium sized head cauliflower
- 3 tablespoons sliced onion
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground garlic
- ¾ teaspoon ground turmeric
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- 1 bay leaf
- ¼ teaspoon crushed cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon crushed cardamom
- 3 green chillies, pared
- ½ cup cooking oil
- Salt to taste
How to prepare:
- Peel the potatoes. Make medium-sized cubes of the potatoes and cauliflower.
- Fry the potatoes and cauliflower separately in 2 tablespoon of oil.
- Combine the ground spices and make a paste with a little water.
- Heat oil in a saucepan, sauté onions, adds the spices, bay leaf and half cup of water.
- Stir and fry until oil surfaces.
- Add the vegetable and 2 cups of water. Cover and cook over a low heat till the potato is tender. If necessary, add a little water to cook vegetables.
- Add the cinnamon, cardamom, green chillies and salt. Cover, keep over a low heat until the vegetables are soft and the gravy is thick and the oil separates.
Serve hot with luchi or parata or
fluffy boiled rice. Yields 8 servings.
